Dress Shopping During Covid-19

Dress shopping during a pandemic can sound overwhelming, but don’t let it be. Here are some tips for wedding dress shopping during Covid-19.

Limit Guests

Since reopening, we have placed guidelines and restrictions to keep our store, staff, and you safe. We can only allow the bride and two other people at an appointment. This is the safest option for our employees and our store. We suggest that you pick your closest loved ones that help you follow your heart.

Don’t over shop

At Julie’s we sanitize our dresses between each wear. We steam, spray, and Clorox all of the dresses and hangers. Try to stick with your favorite dresses to try on. Coming in with inspiration, whether it be a picture or an idea in your head is a great way to know what you want, and will also help us narrow down the dresses.

Stick to one shop

To help slow the spread of germs, try sticking with one shop. Limiting exposure is key for both you and our employees. At Julie’s we have many options and different styles for you to choose from, so don’t feel like you need to make multiple appointments at different stores.

It’s okay to commit right away

Don’t be afraid of committing to your dream dress right away. When you get that butterfly feeling in your stomach that this is your dress, don’t feel like you need to keep trying on. Covid-19 is very unpredictable, and nobody can predict the future. There could be another wave that comes again later this year, so finding and committing to your dress now while we are open is so important. Who knows, your dress could be the first one you try on.

Give yourself some grace

This is a trying time for many, and we are all feeling very overwhelmed. Don’t be hard on yourself; it’s okay to get frustrated. Here at Julie’s, we are here to help you in any way we can, even if it’s just an ear to listen.
